NEW DIRECTOR FOR PARALLEL BUSINESS CENTRES 20-12-2003

Parallel Business Centres have promoted Sandra Hawking to Operations Director for their serviced offices - Parallel House, Guildford, Fetcham Park House near Leatherhead and Cams Hall, Fareham.

This coincides with the expansion of the Guildford centre to 100 desk spaces – more than twice its former size. Parallel House in London Road now comprises two buildings with a choice of styles.

Sandra explained: “Our original building, No.32, is known for its traditional furnishings and décor, which are particularly popular with many business advisers and consultants. No.34 is fitted out in a more contemporary style requested by potential occupiers from marketing, design, media and IT backgrounds.

No.34 has been described by a restoration expert as “one of the finest examples of late Georgian and William IV villas remaining in Guildford”. Its restoration by PBC’s parent company, The Wilky Group, won The Guildford Society’s Good Design Award and the Borough’s Guildford Heritage Award in 1993.

A marketing professional for over 17 years, Sandra joined Parallel Business Centres as general manager in 2000. Previously she was marketing manager for a large international law firm.

Sandra was raised in Havant, where her family still lives. A former student of Warblington School and South Downs College, she initially trained and qualified as a nurse at St Thomas’s Hospital London before starting her career in marketing.
