‘Here are your keys – congratulations!’ 17-06-2008

That was the message from the Wilky Group when Sandra Young, director handed the keys for the new Aldershot Centre for Health to Professor Jonathan Montgomery, chair for Hampshire Primary Care Trust and the Army regional clinical director Colonel Marty Slade recently.

The Centre for Health is a huge investment for health care in the area, where services will be shared between the military and NHS.  When it opens at the end of August the facility will serve a population of 45,000 and a wider catchment area of 250,000.

“Being given the keys marks the beginning of the final stages of this very exciting project,” said Jonathan.  “It’s fantastic to see the Centre for Health getting ready to open its doors for business and I’m sure the local population will share my enthusiasm when they get to see the facility for the first time.”

Colonel Slade said, “Having watched from the sidelines as the project progressed and the building constructed I am delighted that we can now start fitting it out for clinical use and I, the Army staff and personnel who will use it are immensely pleased that we have finally taken possession."

Sandra Young, a director of The Wilky Group said, “Everyone at Wilky is delighted to have achieved delivery of this magnificent building for the community where my father started our business 60 years ago.”
