Chilworth, Southampton

At Chilworth, to the north of Southampton and at the junction of the M23 and M27 motorways, Wilky has optioned over 850 acres of land from a Hampshire estate.

The schemes under consideration allow for local residential and commercial development on some of the sites, mainly of fewer than 20 acres each, with over 700 acres of additional land, mainly forest, to be transferred to community ownership and made available to the public. This would give local people control in perpetuity over, as well as recreational access to, large areas of leisure land around their villages.
